Summary: Sometimes you don't realize what you have until it's gone. Veld learns about attachment and the dangers therein.
Notes: Um, I had totally planned on just glossing over this bit, cause I like Tally. But it does really explain a lot of Veld's contradictions, I think, and I got egged on. So. Here you go. Evil people.
